MA Studios is proud to announce completion of the 15,000 square-foot Schlessman Family Camper Hub at Camp Chief Ouray, YMCA of the Rockies — the first public building in Grand County to achieve official LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, certification. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement, such as enhanced air quality, water quality, material life-cycle analysis, energy use, carbon footprint, and minimal construction waste. The prestigious regional magazine Mountain Living has again awarded MA Studios the honor of Top Architect in the Winter Park/ Granby area. This list is compiled annually by the editors at Mountain Living. They write: "These architects in mountain territories have worked hard to become top in their professions, and we’ve taken note of their work, along with receiving recommendations from their clients, vendors, professional organizations and readers." MA is honored to maintain the level of work and professionalism deserving of this mention.

MA Studios branched its marketing to Haven magazine for the first time in its November issue. We are proud to be included in this publication.

We are proud to announce that Christopher Tagseth, construction manager and architectural designer at MA Studios, was honored this Veteran's Day for his service as an active duty Marine in the Marine Corps from 2002-2006. Tagseth was granted a beautifully crafted quilt by the Peaks 'n Pines Quilt Guild as part of the larger Quilts of Valor national program. Tagseth received his quilt from Peaks 'n Pines at the St. John the Baptiste Episcopal Church, Fraser, during an event honoring Grand County veterans and their families.

And did we mention that Scott is the newest board member of the American Institute of Architects Colorado? He is the West Slope representative on the industry's top prestigious board of directors. In mid-August, Scott invited fellow board members from across Colorado to join him in a tour of his home place, Grand County, which has soldiered protecting West Slope water interests for decades. The tour included the Headwaters Center in Winter Park, then a tour of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, including a pontoon tour of Grand Lake, culminating with lunch and a tour of the historic Grand Lake Yacht Club, which is undergoing renovations by MA designs.

MA Studios is in partnership with Hord Coplan Macht of Denver for the design work and construction oversight associated with the $85 million East Grand School District bond project. The work includes: a new Granby Elementary School; East Grand Middle School addition; Fraser Valley Elementary School addition; Middle Park High School renovations; and a new Middle Park High School Career and Technical Education Building. MA Studios, AIA, received the honor of top Architect in Grand County in Colorado Mountain News Media’s, Sky-Hi News’ “Best of Grand County.” This is the sixth consecutive year voters have chosen MA Studios as best architect in Grand County. “We thank the voters of Grand County and the clients and industry peers who put their trust in us each day,” said MA Studios owner Scott Munn.

MA Studios, AIA, has won Houzz Inc.’s, the leading platform for home renovation and design, “Best of Service.”.

The Best Of Houzz is awarded annually in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography. Design award winners’ work was the most popular among the more than 40 million monthly users on Houzz. Customer Service honors are based on several factors, including the number and quality of recent client reviews. Architecture and interior design photographers whose images were most popular are recognized with the Photography award.

A “Best Of Houzz” badge appears on winners’ profiles, as a sign of their commitment to excellence. These badges help homeowners identify popular and top-rated home professionals.
