Grand County Animal Shelter

The Grand County Animal Shelter was being displaced by a needed expansion of Grand County's water treatment plant. To the rescue came Grand County Pet Pals, a nonprofit funding organization in support of the county no-kill animal shelter. Pet Pals started a capital campaign and invited MA Studios as well as Chillcoots Construction into the fold. The Town of Granby sold some land, and Grand County's lost, stray, and in-crisis animals would soon have a new rescue home built for them. We like the much appreciated natural light in the kennels area as well as in pet-visitation and front desk/ visitor waiting spaces. The indoor/outdoor living for animals, the tinted windows to keep felines comfortable, and the accoustical panels to absorb loud barking are some other thoughtful details. Dog lovers and cat lovers ourselves, it has been a heart-warming opportunity designing this new state-of-the-art facility. MA Studios, as well as Chillcoots, are proud to be in-trade contributors to the campaign, as well as the generous support of many animal-loving contractors, various tradespeople and citizens in the community.
