This unique soon-to-be-constructed creative campus in Grand Lake, Colo., aims to provide live-work opportunities among its creative citizens in the community. The project includes nine residential units with optional commercial storefronts and a 3,000 square-foot Makerspace facility, for pursuits such as woodworking, leather-working, fiber arts and traditional crafts related to the area's Western heritage. This is the fourth Space to Create project built in the state of Colorado, however this one is coming into fruition thanks to a dynamic network of partnerships that include the Town of Grand Lake, Colorado Creative Industries through the Office of Economic Development & International Trade, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, The Boettcher Foundation, the Gates Family Foundation, the Freeport-McMoran Foundation, the Rocky Mountain Wooden Boat School, and the Grand Lake Creative District.
